ROLE SUMMARY   Medical Information (MI) is a global customer-focused group within Worldwide Medical & Safety that is responsible for responding to unsolicited medical inquiries regarding Pfizer products and devices. Expectations of this role include, but are not limited to, researching and preparing responses for medical inquiries, as well as interfacing with and supporting Business Unit(s)/Product(s)/Therapeutic Area Team(s) and global colleagues by providing medical information and analysis of inquiry trends to support departmental and company objectives. The scope of responsibilities is Local, Regional and Global in some instances.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES   Ensure that the medical and scientific information provided is evidence-based and fair balanced in accordance with prevailing global and local SOPs. Ensure that all inquiries are handled in accordance with Pfizer standards. Researches and analyses scientific information to answer escalated medical inquiries from healthcare professionals in accordance with Pfizer and local regulatory standards. Develop and maintain collection of global & local scientific response documents for designated portfolio/therapy area in accordance with Pfizer MI standards and local regulations based on customer needs. Ensures the availability, accuracy and maintenance of medical content on MI digital platforms. Participate in regional therapy area teams & global product teams and contribute to the development of regional and global medical information content about Pfizer medicines. As needed, support Medical Information frontline activities by Ensuring that frontline personnel have necessary resources to appropriately meet customer needs and expectations. Directly receiving and responding to medical inquiries as necessary. Participate in local, regional and global initiatives aimed at developing new capabilities and improving efficiencies. Represents MI on relevant Product/Therapy Area cross-functional teams. Interprets and communicates trends and business insights based on analysis of inquiries to Product/Therapy Area teams. Develops and maintains strong working relationships with relevant stakeholders such as Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Drug Safety.
QUALIFICATIONS   Fluency in both Korean and English required. Tertiary qualifications in pharmacy or science with an appropriate life science major Postgraduate qualifications and/or registration as a pharmacist would be highly desirable. Candidates with pertinent industry-related experience are preferable. Experience working in a multi-cultural environment, with global or regional business responsibilities preferable. Proficient at critically evaluating literature and writing/summarizing clinical and scientific data. Proficient at utilizing medical literature and drug information databases. Demonstrates effective relationship management and customer orientation. Exhibits strong oral and written communication skills.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS   Follows Pfizer Korea work schedule policies Ability to work in a virtual work environment. Ability to work early morning or late evening hours to accommodate global/regional teleconferences/meetings.  |
