In this role, you’ll be responsible for a wide variety of commercial legal matters supporting SK hynix’s legal department and various business departments including sales, strategy and R&D. You should be comfortable in supporting complicated legal issues that require analysis on several fronts. [Minimum Qualifications] The ideal candidate for this position should have a JD from a top tier law school in the United States and be able to practice law in the US. Such successful candidate should have a minimum 2+ years of dispute resolution, M&A, investment or broad-based commercial law experience as a practicing lawyer at a top tier law firm or in-house department. You should have extensive experience with commercial and/or investment related agreements, spanning from drafting, negotiating and interpreting such agreements to advising thereon, or devising a legal strategy in response to any legal claims in relation thereto. Fluency in English and Korean is a requirement for this role. You must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and be committed to high level of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas. [Primary Responsibilities] - Work across a spectrum of complex legal, business, and strategic issues - Identify and evaluate business and legal risks and find creative ways to mitigate them while achieving business goals - Analyze various legal claims, investigate facts, draft and review relevant documents and make internal reporting to management - Structure, draft, review, negotiate and provide advice regarding wide range of agreements & documents, including commercial agreements that the company routinely enters into as well as various investment related documents - Work closely with our global offices and deliver legal services in various subject areas - Consult and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, politicians, and clients) - Remain up-to-date on relevant industry laws to ensure an ongoing ability to provide excellent legal advice - Liaise with various regulatory authorities and external counsel [Preferred Qualifications] - Understanding of semiconductor products and IT industry - Ability to identify legal issues or risks and to see around the corners - In-depth understanding of how legal issues affect organization and transactions - Experience in working closely with regional corporate entities - Experience living or working in other country - Self-motivated to expand knowledge globally |
